5th Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of ARISE Plus Cambodia

Phnom Penh, 29 June 2023 – The 5th Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of ARISE Plus Cambodia was held on 27 June 2023 to present and discuss the project’s progress, achievements, as well as guidance for further implementation towards the end of the project in March 2024.

Under the chairmanship of H.E. Sok Sopheak, Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce (MoC), and Mr. Bryan Fornari, Head of Cooperation, European Union (EU) Delegation to Cambodia, the meeting was joint by the committee members and involved partners, including the representatives from the MoC, Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), Ministry of Industry Science Technology and Innovation (MISTI), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE), the EU Delegation to Cambodia, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Euro Cham Cambodia and GIZ.

The meeting noted that the project has, as of 15 June 2023, achieved over 80% of its implementation with great results. The meeting appreciated the commitment and immense effort of all stakeholders and the project outcomes achieved over the past years. We take this opportunity to thank the Chair, all committee members and partners for the participation, valuable input to guide the project implementation and strategic direction for future cooperation.

Co-funded by the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), ARISE Plus Cambodia is implemented by GIZ and set to support greater connectivity and economic integration between Cambodia and the rest of ASEAN.
